About me

Over the last decade I’ve worked my way through various data science careers, ranging from a data scientist at a startup to managing data science teams before moving into developer advocacy. Along the way I’ve written about my data science and machine learning journey, dabbled with livestreaming, and made technical video content creation the cornerstone of my work.

And through my technical video content creation work I found that I had more than a passing interest in animation. I followed this from YouTube tutorials to classes at School of Motion and then the Rhode Island School of Design before finally landing at Animation Mentor. Throughout these experiences I felt animation go from an interest to a hobby to a passion, and is now something that takes up most of my free time.

But as hard as I try, I have yet to convince my friends to also take animation classes with me (fair), which means I need another outlet for everything I want to say about my learning experience!

So what you’ll get in each issue will vary, but generally be related to my experiences in animation, what I’m learning, and how I’m applying that to whatever movies or TV shows I’m watching that week. In short, it’s a lot of opinions and questions and thoughts, all of which I’m hoping to use to kickstart a conversation with you.
