I am a collector of sentences. This isn’t necessarily a problem, except that sometimes I’m so pleased with a recent collection that I cram every sentence into a single essay, completely ignoring the idea of a coherent narrative. Thankfully, the piece I’m sharing with you this week has had the benefit of an editor before I hit “publish,” sparing you the sentence salad I had originally submit as my homework assignment.
